00:00The Armed Forces of the Philippines, or AFP as it is known,

00:03remains loyal to their mandate and to the country.

00:08AFP announced this amidst heated political discussions.

00:13Chain of command remains firm.

00:16Here is the center of the news.

00:21Amidst the current tensions in politics,

00:23the Armed Forces of the Philippines said

00:26that there is no need for a loyalty check on their side.

00:29AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Browder Jr. reminded the soldiers

00:34to remain professional

00:36and to continue their duty to protect the Constitution.

00:41At this point, sir, there is no need for loyalty checks.

00:44Our Chief of Staff has already stated that he trusts that each soldier

00:49will perform its mandate accordingly and remain professional.

00:53AFP also appealed,

00:55which they settled in a political discussion.

00:57Next is the statement of former President Rodrigo Duterte

01:00that military action is needed.

01:03What we are emphasizing here, sir,

01:05the Armed Forces of the Philippines is a non-partisan organization.

01:11We respectfully request that we are shunned away from political issues.

01:15AFP also emphasized that the chain of command remains firm.

01:20It will remain intact and secured.

01:23We take pride in being military professionals.

01:27Meanwhile, AFP is ready to assist in the investigation

01:31of their two officials who were mentioned in the hearing yesterday by the camera

01:35regarding the misuse of the funds of the Office of the Vice President and DepEd.

01:41They are Colonel Dennis Nolasco,

01:43the security officer of DepEd,

01:45and Colonel Raymond Dante Lachica,

01:48the head of the Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group.

01:51Confidential funds were disbursed to them

01:55even though they were explained in the following hearing.

01:59I can categorically say that they are active officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

02:06If they are called for investigation,

02:09the Armed Forces of the Philippines will assist them.
