00:07Vogue revealed that next May's event will center around the Met's upcoming Karl Lagerfeld A Line of Beauty exhibition.

00:13While the announcement was met with much excitement, some people, most notably actress Jamila Jamil, took to Instagram to criticize the decision.

00:21Jamil stated that he quote, used his platform in such a distinctly hateful way,

00:25mostly towards women and repeatedly attacked them up until the last years of his life, showing no remorse.

00:31She then shared a series of fatphobic quotes from Lagerfeld, as well as dismissive comments he made about the Me Too movement.

00:37Others called out his controversial comments made about sexual assault survivors, plus-sized women, same-sex couples, and Muslim refugees.
