00:00From gift bags to after parties, some of the most fascinating moments of the Oscars happen
00:04behind the scenes, so we need to talk about some of the ceremony's best kept secret.
00:08The 95th Academy Awards are this weekend, and for those invited, a ticket reportedly costs between
00:13$150 and $1,000 based on where the seats are located. The rest of the audience is largely
00:18comprised of seat fillers who are required to sign NDAs and aren't allowed to talk to other
00:22attendees unless spoken to. The night before the ceremony, presenters, performers, and hosts
00:26partake in a dress rehearsal, complete with fake winner's envelopes, plastic statuettes,
00:30and stand-in winners. All nominees from the top categories receive a gift bag valued at upwards
00:35of six figures. Last year's swag bag included liposuction treatments, an arm sculpting procedure,
00:40a stay at a Scottish castle, as well as a plot of land in Scotland. The celebration doesn't end
00:44once the ceremony concludes. The Vanity Fair Oscar party is the most coveted after party
00:49invite, with tickets one year reportedly ranging from $25,000 to $105,000. The Oscars will air this
00:55Sunday, March 12th on ABC.
