More than 20 years after first observing a glowing creature in the deep sea California researchers have identified it as a new species of sea slug.

00:14it here. They discovered it at a depth of over 8,500 feet in the Pacific, floating
00:19gracefully in the dark. Scientists initially struggled to classify the
00:24mysterious creature due to its unique features, including a hooded structure,
00:28finger like projections on its tail and vibrant internal organs. Well, after
00:32analyzing over 150 sightings and conducting lab studies, they confirmed
00:37it as a new type of nudie branch thriving in the ocean's midnight zone
00:41where conditions are extreme.
