G20 Summit: Brazil's president urges developed nations to speed up initiatives on climate change

00:22action to slow global warming, saying developed nations should consider moving their 2050

00:27mission goals forward to 2040 or 2045.

00:32Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron met with Chinese President Xi Jinping for

00:38a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the summit.

00:43He reaffirmed France's commitment to strengthening relations with China and insisted that the

00:48two countries shared the same views on promoting peace in Ukraine.

00:52We have a community of views to ensure that the UN Charter is respected and to promote

01:00a peace agenda.

01:01We are on the thousandth day of the war of aggression launched by Russia against Ukraine

01:08and I know that you share, like us, the desire for a lasting peace, respectful of the UN

01:13Charter, and that you share the same concern, like us, after the bellicose and escalating

01:19of Russia's nuclear doctrine.

01:24It comes after the French President hosted the Chinese leader on his state visit to Paris
