00:00Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Today, I'm proud to become the first
00:25American president to visit the Amazon, to proclaim the first International Conservation
00:33Day, reflecting all that it takes as a state in the fight against climate change and honoring
00:39the power. Today's date is the 17th. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It's true, some
00:57may seek to deny or delay the clean energy revolution that's underway in America, but
01:04nobody, nobody can reverse it. Nobody. Not when so many people, regardless of party or politics,
01:11are enjoying its benefits. Not when countries around the world are harnessing the clean
01:18energy revolution to pull ahead themselves. The question now is, folks, we don't have to
01:25choose between the environment and the economy. We can do both. We've proven it back home.
01:33It's no secret that I'm leaving office in January. I will have my, I will leave my
01:42successor and my country a strong foundation to build on if they choose to do so. The Amazon
01:50rainforest was built up over 50 million years, 50 million years. History is literally watching
01:57us now. So let's preserve the secret place for our time and forever for the benefit of all humanity.
