Thick smog brings Lahore City in Pakistan to a standstill

The Pakistani city of Lahore has been hit hard by a cloud of smog that has brought the city to a standstill. Breathing the toxic air has catastrophic health consequences, with the World Health Organization saying strokes, heart disease, lung cancer and respiratory diseases can be triggered by prolonged exposure.
