00:00In the past three years, from 2021 to 2023,
00:13a total of 102,376 criminal cases have been investigated
00:20involving high crime rates, namely RM6.05 billion.
00:28For 2024, I understand that the statistics of commercial criminal cases
00:34reported from January to September are a total of 29,010 cases
00:42compared to 30,422 cases reported at the same time in 2023.
00:50This shows a decline of 4.6% or a total of 1,412 cases.
00:58Meanwhile, the number of losses recorded from January to September 2024
01:05is a total of RM1.98 billion,
01:11which shows an increase of 22.6% compared to the same time in the previous year.
01:20At that time, criminal cases involving six main operating models,
01:30namely telecommunications crimes, financial crimes, trade crimes, love scams,
01:37non-existent loans, and non-existent investments,
01:41are the most common criminal categories reported every year.
01:46For 2024 to September, a total of 24,671 cases have been recorded
01:56with a loss of RM1.04 billion.
02:01I am very optimistic that JSJK will be able to become a department
02:08that is protected from the aspect of investigation of commercial cases,
02:11especially related to fraud cases in a wider range
02:17and become the largest contributor to commercial criminal cases.
02:22In 2024, I see the JSJK's efforts to set up a strategy to fight commercial crimes
02:29through the implementation of various initiatives and plans,
02:33including investigation, operational risks, and prevention campaigns.
02:38From the impact of the crackdown on January to September 2024,
02:46this department has witnessed a total of 17,661 operations
02:52and a total of 18,506 individuals have been arrested for various types of commercial crimes.
03:05Meanwhile, from the aspect of investigation,
03:09for nine months in 2024,
03:13the JSJK has managed to process a total of 13,184 cases,
03:21while this department also carries out 7,267 criminal prevention programs throughout the country,
03:31including exhibitions, media collaborations, and meet-and-greet activities
03:38to increase public awareness so that they can avoid becoming criminals.
03:45Every time I emphasize the need for a drastic change in the culture of work
03:51and the level of integrity within each member of the JSJK
03:55so that the team remains relevant and respected by the community.
03:59However, although repeatedly reminders and warnings have been given,
04:05the level of integrity and standard adjustment of the JSJK is still at a worrying level.
04:12The behavior and image of the JSJK has been damaged by the arrests made against several members of the JSJK
04:21for various crimes of crime, bribery, and abuse of power.
04:26In fact, I was informed that in 2023,
04:31there were 22 JSJK officers arrested as suspects in commercial criminal cases.
04:39Moreover, the number of JSJK officers arrested in commercial criminal cases
04:46increased to 23 people from January to September 2024.
04:53I am still disappointed and disappointed when the trust of the blue community that we are proud of
05:02has been misused by those who feel that it is not too much
05:07if I act as an ungrateful and self-important person.
05:13Indeed, integrity is in the core of our self-determination and self-examination.
05:19The JSTRO is in full swing with the launch of the National Integrity Month 2024
05:25which will be held on November 5, 2024
05:32which was completed by His Excellency Datuk Seri Haji Fadhilah Yusof, Minister of Internal Affairs of the PDRM
05:40for his good and sincere efforts in strengthening the integrity culture.
05:46Here, I would like to share some of the principles of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that are highly respected in terms of the launch.
05:55First, the launch of the National Integrity Month this year is to raise the national flag
06:02through the commitment to the integrity culture and the strict rules of conduct.
06:08Second, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
06:13to ensure that Malaysia is recognized as a country with high integrity and free of corruption.
06:19Third, to urge for the mutual practice of strict integrity
06:25to build a more sustainable and competitive Malaysia in the world.
