00:19on the regulation that started discussions about the towing and impounding operations

00:25of the MMDA in the National Capital Region.

00:30Some motorists favored the professionalization of towing and impounding in the illegally parked

00:37and stalled vehicles in the NCR.

00:39This was followed by their acceptance of complaints such as illegal towing, overcharging, misconduct,

00:46theft, and others.

00:50It's better than what happened before.

01:12In the new regulation, the owners of the vehicles that will be transported to their homes,

01:18auto repair shop or gasoline station, will be able to give the vehicle instead of an

01:22impound and bring it to the impounding site in Marikina City.

01:26The new regulation will be implemented in all towing and truck services in the NCR,

01:32including those run by or owned by the government agency.

01:36There will be a towing service company in North, East, West, South, and Central Manila

01:42that will be purchased through the bidding process.

01:47Each towing service company will be required to have a GPS, dash cam, QR code, speedometer,

01:53proper uniform, and identification.

01:55The demerit system will also be implemented to ensure that they will properly provide services to the public.
