00:00A SUV crashed after it was caught entering the EDSA bus lane.

00:06The vehicle that was identified as PEKE is the plate number.

00:10Daniel Manalastas is back for more details.

00:16This video went viral on social media.

00:19The white SUV with the plate number 7 entered the EDSA bus lane.

00:25Sir, it's just painful.

00:28Based on the Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation,

00:32the traffic enforcer was asked where the SUV came from.

00:36Sir, we're just verifying you.

00:42Sir.

00:46Sir, I have a license.

00:48In a statement, Senate President Francis Escudero said

00:51that the number 7 protocol plate used by the SUV is PEKE.

00:56It was confirmed by the Land Transportation Office.

01:00But the issue will not end here.

01:03Clearly, there is a violation of the law.

01:05That SUV should be punished.

01:08I asked the LTO to find out

01:10who is the owner and user of this vehicle

01:16and also the plate number

01:18so I can find out if this is an issue with a member of the Senate.

01:21The LTO clearly stated that there were violations.

01:25The agency also reminded motorists

01:28that they should not ignore the rules and regulations of road safety

01:33including the illegal use of protocol plates.
