00:03that is focused on travel, tourism, and social-cultural development.

00:06This is Mr. Tourism World.

00:09And joining us this morning is the National Director of Mr. Tourism World Philippines,

00:13Mr. Paula Smith,

00:15the reigning Mr. Tourism World,

00:17Ms. Nath Tirapath,

00:19and of course, Mr. Tourism World Philippines 2024,

00:23Ms. Sandra Cordova.

00:30Because we're at the high.

00:32Alright, Mr. Paula, what makes the Mr. Tourism World pageant different

00:37from the other international pageants?

00:39And why is it such an important platform for Filipino men?

00:44Okay, Mr. Tourism World Philippines is a driven advocacy when it comes to tourism.

00:50So, we know we travel to Southeast Asian countries

00:54to learn and see what are the social-cultural histories of each country.

01:01And of course, there will be learnings

01:07and they can share to the people

01:10who are aspiring to become Mr. Tourism World Philippines.

01:13May I ask how many years we have Mr. Tourism World here in the Philippines?

01:18Okay, in the Philippines, we just had the first edition.

01:22Wow, the inaugural.

01:24And then we'll be having the second edition next year.

01:27Of course.

01:28Alright, Fernand, how has winning this competition changed your life?

01:33And how are you preparing for your upcoming competition as well?

01:39Okay, after I win the title,

01:41I do receive more popularity in my own country

01:48and my own platform, social media.

01:51And the most important is I travel with the organization, Mr. Tourism World.

01:57I travel around the world, so I learn the new experience,

02:00the new culture and lifelong learning, yeah.

02:05Okay, what's your advocacy?

02:07And how will you promote that particular advocacy?

02:12Mike.

02:14Okay, I would say I have to do my own thing.

02:20Like, for example, when I go to travel, right,

02:24I would take a picture with a special place

02:26and promote the platform or something like that.

02:30Alright, thanks for that.

02:32So, since we had just won or the first year of Mr. Tourism World,

02:37I want to know how you prepare the candidates

02:40what guidance or trainings do you give for the candidates?

02:43Oh yeah, we have some training, education for the candidates

02:48and we have also a psychological, you know, communication with them.

02:53So, they are really, really okay in doing this kind of pageantry, yeah.

02:59Alright.

03:00Alright, for Sandro, first of all, congratulations.

03:03Thank you, thank you.

03:04So, how is the reign so far?

03:07I mean, it's surreal.

03:08We've been doing some service in our community.

03:13So, I've been doing outreach program

03:16and hopefully, we get to travel more,

03:20visit more community and give back to them.

03:24Okay, so far with your visits,

03:27what are your favorite activities that you did

03:31and the people you met because of this?

03:34Katutubo, last October, I went to Tanay.

03:38We gave like bags, foods, packages for the Katutubo in Tanay.

03:46So, it's a fulfilling thing.

03:48Now, as Mr. Tourism World Philippines,

03:51we get to give back to the community

03:53as this is actually the most relevant pageant

03:55because most of the pageants have glitz and glamour

03:58but not everyone after the pageant has a goal.

04:02Mr. Tourism World Philippines has a goal

04:04and that is to really reach out to the community

04:06and give back to the community

04:07and that's what we're trying to tell everyone about this organization.

04:11What city or municipality did you represent?

04:14I represented the province of Masbate, that's Bicol region.

04:17Bicol region.

04:18Alright, Nat, in your opinion,

04:21what does it take for a contestant to stand out in Mr. Tourism World

04:25and what are some key lessons that you've learned along the way

04:29that you can share to your next candidates, to the next participants?

04:34Okay, in my opinion, I have three considerations.

04:40One is teamwork.

04:41So, teamwork is really helpful when it comes to solving problems

04:47and you know, practice our weakness and it's helpful.

04:53And the second thing is physically when it comes to pageants.

04:58If I can choose skinny body and chipped body,

05:04I 100% will choose chipped body for pageantry.

05:08And the third is mentally.

05:11In the competition, we have a lot of stress,

05:14have a lot of struggling because we want to win

05:19and it's helpful because I would,

05:24when I'm stressed or struggling,

05:27I would say like I will look at the picture of my family.

05:31It's really helpful.

05:33Yeah, for strength and inspiration.

05:35Those are good tips.

05:36Well, let's go to Sandro.

05:38You're competing in Vietnam?

05:39Yes, but it's coming in February.

05:41That's going to be February 12 to 20 in Vietnam.

05:46What are the preparations?

05:47Preparations mentally and physically.

05:49I am very excited to showcase more about Philippines

05:53in terms of our culture, of what to offer.

05:56We have so many local destinations

05:58that we are ready to promote internationally.

06:01And hopefully, we get a lot of support from people,

06:05our government and spread this platform

06:09in the international stage.

06:10Okay, probably to Sarah Paula,

06:12to those male viewers out there

06:15who would also like to follow the path

06:18of Nath and Sandro over here.

06:20How can they be part as well in the future competition?

06:21Okay, for those who are passionate in male pageantry,

06:26I think this is the time for you to join

06:28Mr. Tourism World Philippines

06:29because you cannot just get a prize for this,

06:34but you can travel to Southeast Asian countries.

06:37Oh, that's nice.

06:38And you can make new friends from other countries.

06:41Yes, from different countries.
