00:26President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is leading the opening of the LRT Line 1 Cavite Extension Project
00:30Cavite Extension Project is the first railway project to be completed under the Marcos Administration and the fruit of the Public-Private Partnership.
00:41The project will connect to Baclaran Station in Luzon de Pasay, five new stations, and Dr. Santo Station in Paranaque City.
00:52In the operation of the extension project, it is expected to serve 80,000 train riders per day.
01:02Actually now, the average daily passengers that we carry is around 320,000.
01:08So we expect when we open, we'll be able to bump up the ridership to around, by an additional 80,000.
01:15It is also expected that the opening of five new LRT stations will greatly reduce traffic.
01:22Of the 80,000 passengers that can be added to use the LRT 1, it is estimated that 6,000 vehicles can be reduced.
01:34Most of these are private vehicles.
01:3780,000 passengers a day could actually translate to around 6,000 vehicles a day that can be off the upgrade.
01:51And it's composed, we assume 70% of that would be private and the 30% would be public.
01:58The five new stations from Baclaran Station are the Bredentori-Sasayan Station, Manila International Airport Station, Asia World Station, Ninoy Aquino Station, and Dr. Santos Station.
02:12The fare for a full stretch trip from FPJ Station to Dr. Santos Station is only P45.
