00:11through the strengthening of their disaster response in the region.

00:22The Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, or RDRRMC-Eastern Visayas, is now preparing
00:30for the coming typhoons, particularly the Tepito typhoon.
00:33The RDRRMC-8, or Advanced Composite Team, will be deployed to the two provinces of the region.
00:40These are the Eastern Samar and Northern Samar, which are potentially high risk.
00:45In the ceremonial set of ceremonies held at the DILG Regional Office 8 yesterday,
00:50Regional Director Lord Bayron Turicarion of the Office of Civil Defense,
00:55who is also the chairman of the RDRRMC-8,
00:58which aims to provide support to local government units that are frontliners in times of calamity.
01:04We need to have faster coordination, faster information, data,
01:10in order to have informed decisions.
01:13At the same time, we can immediately help the LGU if there is a need for augmentation.
01:19DILG-8 Regional Director Arnel Agabi is reminding LGUs in the region to comply with the Operation Listo Protocol.
01:29DSWD-8 Regional Director Grace Subong is also ensuring the agency's readiness.
01:34Family food packs have already been prepositioned in various provinces of the region.
01:40And also, I just would like to inform you that DSWD is also preparing in terms of our mandate
01:48to provide the food and the medical items.
01:50So basically, we have a total of 84,738 family food packs as of today.
01:59And these are spread in the six provinces.
02:02And particularly in Northern Samar and in Eastern, you know, where we will deploy, of course, our team.
02:07The two teams deployed are from various RDRRMC member agencies
02:13such as the Tactical Operations Group 8 of the Philippine Air Force,
02:16Office of Civil Defense, Bureau of Fire Protection,
02:19Department of Information and Communication Technology, and others.
02:23According to the forecast, it is possible that a typhoon called Pipito
02:28will hit the northern Samar and eastern Samar provinces.
