Syria: Humanitarian crisis worsens due to funding shortfall

00:08According to the organization, Syria is facing a funding shortfall which has worsened the

00:14humanitarian crisis.

00:16They also detailed that currently 16.7 million Syrian citizens need assistance to survive,

00:22as well as at least 510,000 Lebanese, Palestinians and Syrians who fled from Lebanon to that

00:28country.

00:29On the other hand, they clarified that currently only 27.5% of the 4.7 billion US dollars in

00:38humanitarian response plan for Syria has been funded and urged the donor community to significantly

00:44increase its support for the humanitarian response in the nation.
