00:00As part of the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.,

00:04the DILG will target the main source of illegal drugs,

00:09including the Montilupa City Jail.

00:11In addition, the plan is to transfer to the High Maximum Security Facility

00:17the 200 high-valued personnel in the area.

00:26President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. wants the government to focus on illegal drugs in the country.

00:33This is what the Executive Board of the DOJ, DILG, PDEA, and PNP agreed on.

00:39According to DILG Secretary John V. Cremulia,

00:42even though the use of illegal drugs will still be targeted,

00:45the President wants to strengthen the supply of the illegal drugs.

00:50This is through the banning of drug cartels.

00:53Chasing after the big guns, the big suppliers, the main men involved in the importation of drugs.

01:01The personalities have been identified. I am not at liberty to discuss it.

01:05You cannot say that.

01:06The New Believed Prison in Montilupa City, which is the main source of illegal drugs, will be closed.

01:13According to V. Cremulia, the 200 high-valued personnel in the area are currently being investigated.

01:20They are now using cryptocurrency.

01:25He plans to transfer them to a high-maximum security facility

01:29to stop their connection to the transfer of illegal drugs.

01:33It's safe to say it will be the most secure facility yet built.

01:37And their communication lines will be totally cut.

01:41But why is the drug circulation still rampant inside the penal farm?

01:45The problem is systemic inside Montilupa.

01:49So they're trying a new approach.

01:58So evidently there's something wrong within the system.

02:01And changing personnel is not the answer.

02:05You have to change the location, change their availability, change their accessibility

02:09so that the communication to the outside world is curtailed.

02:16According to the President, the point of entry of illegal drugs in the country

02:21is also one of his goals, including the Manila International Container Port.

02:24He says that this will help foreign anti-drug entities like the U.S. DEA

02:30to avoid the entry of drugs in the country.
