00:00China has asserted its claim over the Scarborough Shoal, announcing baselines for its territorial waters.

00:06This follows the Philippines' enactment of the Philippine Maritime Zones Act and Archipelagic Sea Liens Act, which China opposes.

00:14The Philippine National Security Council responded, stating the laws comply with international law and uphold the 2016 arbitral ruling.
