00:14I think the first day I walked on set I was unbelievably intimidated

00:17because the cast is filled with giants.

00:20And I was pretty immediately helped with that by John sitting us down

00:26and talking one-on-one with the cast for like two hours

00:29just to walk me through and I met Ariana and I met Cynthia

00:33and then a couple days later I met Jeff and everybody was just like

00:35oh we're kind of theater kids and we're good.

00:37We got each other's backs.

00:40Let's talk about representation.

00:42Redheads.

00:43Absolutely, munchkin redheads.

00:45I used to be a redhead like you.

00:47I was like really red.

00:49You have a way better beard than I do.

00:51I'm a little older, you know.

01:26Let's talk about, so John has spoken about the look of the munchkins

01:29is inspired by you.

01:34It's really crazy.

01:36But it's also, it feels really special.

01:38I remember I came in and they were like we're not 100% sure

01:41what the munchkins are going to look like.

01:42We are thinking maybe red hair with freckles and brown eyes.

01:46And everything else, you know, can be anything.

01:50It's a diverse group of munchkins but with red hair, freckles,

01:53and brown eyes.

01:54And I was like do you mean like what I look like?

01:58And they're like yeah, something like that.

02:00Do you remember being a kid being teased for having red hair and freckles?

02:04Right.

02:05So now what do you want to say to those bullies who teased you

02:09and called you freckle face?

02:10You know what, I would say I extend a hand to you

02:13and I know that hurt people hurt people.

02:17But also I hope that you're able to embrace who you are

02:20and also maybe that you grew a red beard.

02:23Did you get Howdy Doody a lot?

02:24I got Howdy Doody a lot.

02:26I got the kid from Spy Kids. I still do.

02:28I got Howdy Doody and then I used to get Andy Griffith, Ron Howard.

02:36But what was his character's name? Opie.

02:39That's really sweet.

02:41But Andy Griffith was in black and white so I don't know how they knew him.

02:44They could feel it. They could sense it.

02:46What was it like seeing Cynthia and Ari for the first time

02:50in full makeup, full wardrobe?

02:52Absolutely surreal.

02:54I mean the wardrobe and the makeup on this film is stunning and beautiful

02:58and the makeup is all practical, right?

03:03I don't know. It was kind of overwhelming.

03:05Paul Tazewell's costumes are unreal and so intricate and unique

03:10and so character driven.

03:15So we know this is the start of the WCU, the Wicked Cinematic Universe.

03:21So who should get their own movie next?

03:26The first thing that jumps into my mind is a Madame Morrible origin story.
