00:00I'm Jero Cajapin, an underwater photographer and videographer and I travel to different
00:25parts of the world for scuba diving.
00:29In 2015, when Jero started diving,
00:32the first place he visited was the Apo Reef National Park in Occidental, Mindoro.
00:38And now, I have more than 1,500 dive experiences.
00:44One of my favorite types of diving is the diving with sharks.
00:49And my favorite type is the hammerhead shark.
00:52These hammerhead sharks can be seen in Mikimoto Island, located in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
00:58This August, we were given the opportunity with our friends to dive in Japan.
01:04More than 50 hammerhead sharks came to us.
01:07This is one of the dives that I will never forget.
01:13They are so beautiful underwater.
01:15Every movement they do there is so graceful.
01:18And you will be amazed when you see them.
01:23But there are sharks that sometimes seem to wake up badly.
01:28Jero's close encounter with an aggressive shark.
01:31Watch out!
01:34Our friend who did scuba diving can't stop his encounter with a shark.
01:39Let's travel to the Maldives with our scuba instructor and underwater videographer, Drew Cajapin.
01:45This is the Maldives, a group of islands in the Indian Ocean in South Asia.
01:51We were diving in Neru or known as Shark Tank in the Maldives.
01:56I was photographing a lot of spinner sharks.
02:00Then, suddenly, a spinner shark approached me and attacked my camera.
02:08I thought it was going to bite me.
02:10I pushed it with my camera.
02:11Then, it turned around and I pushed it with my fins.
02:17I was a bit scared of that experience.
02:20But as a trained scuba diver, I know what to do.
02:23Position yourself vertically so that you will look bigger than them.
02:28Despite the exciting experience in the Maldives, there's no stopping Jero.
02:34Sharks should not be feared.
02:37We should take care of them and protect them.
02:41We are learning how important their role is in marine ecosystems.
