Pantomime Season: Will Birmingham Be Joining in the Festivities?

With the festive season approaching, we ask Birmingham residents if they plan to attend a pantomime this year. What aspects of the pantomime experience do they love most, and what might put them off?

00:00Yes, we're going to Panto, not in Birmingham because it's beyond our budget really as we're

00:05pensioners now. Our daughter used to perform in Panto, but where we live in Towns, there's

00:11lots of local ones, so we're now taking our grandchildren to our local Panto, which I'm

00:15so looking forward to. I love Panto. When we were young, we didn't know each other,

00:22but our dad worked at different places, but we both ended up at the same Panto. We didn't

00:27know each other at the time. So we'd go on a bus to these Pantos, it must have been in

00:31Brougham somewhere, and we love Panto. Our daughter's been in many, she's a singer, so

00:38we love Panto and we're so glad we can go to one this year. I find them very expensive.

00:43We've got 12 grandchildren and lots of children. I feel like Pantomine's good because it brings

00:47family closer together. Do you understand? There's a bit for the kids, there's a bit

00:51for the adults. I feel like it's just a community-based thing that just brings everyone together really,

00:55so I feel like Pantomine's really good.
