Sergio Petrucci from the Red Sky Foundation, it was a bit of a gamble bringing back the
00:13
Ashbrook Fireworks, are we happy with how it's gone?
00:16
I'm delighted, I wouldn't say a gamble, I think it was a safe bet that this community
00:20
has been crying out for the Ashbrook Fireworks to come back and I'm so so proud of everybody
00:26
associated with the Red Sky Foundation, that gave us the belief and the confidence and
00:31
do you know what, the smiling faces out there, the children, the adults, the grandparents,
00:37
it's a family event, that's what it's all about, I really say thank you to everybody
00:41
who has supported and bought the ticket and enjoyed tonight, most of all to the volunteers
00:46
that we had because without them this simply couldn't have happened, we had a very very
00:50
short window of opportunity to put this on but in true Red Sky Foundation style we nailed
00:55
it and we smashed it but like I say, it's a team effort and with the trustees of Ashbrook,
01:00
with the trustees of Red Sky Foundation, we're here to stay and I hope everybody enjoyed
01:06
it and come back again next year and help us raise vital funds, not just for Red Sky
01:10
Foundation but for this fantastic sports club, it really really does make a difference to
01:15
the local community, so thank you.
01:17
And obviously speaking of the tickets, what sort of numbers have we had, is it sell out?
01:20
Yeah absolutely, it always is, we have 3,000 tickets available for sale and that's right
01:27
within our plan and our event plan with health and safety, emergency services, I'd like to
01:33
thank them and also the people from Sunderland Council as well for believing in Red Sky Foundation
01:38
and make sure that we actually absolutely put a show on for everybody to enjoy.
01:44
And we'll be back again next year?
01:46
Absolutely, again, please come back again and support this place, it deserves everybody
01:52
to come and visit and just enjoy the sport that you can enjoy here, rugby, cricket, bowls
02:00
and squash and it's a fantastic social scene as well and like I say, it is the heart of
02:05
the community and what better place to enjoy it than to help people with problems with
02:10
their heart and we can all work together for a better life and a better world, thank you.
