West Bromwich Albion struggling to find wins in Championship

A look at the Baggies’ fall off as of recent.

00:00On to West Bromwich Albion, obviously an amazing start to the Championship campaign.

00:05We mentioned how important Corbran was, keeping him in the summer.

00:08And now it's sort of all seemed to drop off, winless in seven games since their last Championship win.

00:16I mean, it's quite an interesting bit of form that just slowly falling down that top half of the table.

00:22They need to sort of find winning ways again and there's some tough games coming up.

00:26They really do. I mean, it's not only been losing games, it's five draws in a row.

00:30You've got to turn these draws into wins if you're going to be finishing in the top two.

00:35The top six, I think, is the priority to match what they did last season.

00:38But they don't want to be too stagnant.

00:40They need to be a bit more ambitious and try and push on.

00:42But they just can't seem to find the back of the net at the moment.

00:45They really can't. Josh Major back on the score sheet the weekend.

00:48That at least was a positive, but not scoring anywhere near enough goals,

00:51considering how much possession they're having in matches.

00:54The team's just able to sit in deep. West Brom lacking creativity at times, looking a bit one-dimensional.

01:00I don't know how they're going to do it, but they just need to try and pick up a bit more momentum again,

01:04get a bit of confidence. I think all it will take is just one or two wins to get them back into form

01:08and to get them back up that table.

01:11But you've got the likes of Millwall, Blackburn, Bristol picking up points at the moment.

01:15And before you know it, West Brom will be outside the top six and there'll be concerns heading into the festive period.

01:21Yeah, obviously Fixtures coming up, they host Burnley, then they go to Hull, then they host Norwich,

01:26then they go to Sunderland. I mean, these are sort of sides for the majority that are going to be,

01:31you know, pushing around that top eight, top six margin.

01:35It's always a massive battle come the end of the season.

01:38How important is this festive period and the build-up to it as well for Corboran's side?

01:44It's absolutely massive. The games you've mentioned just there, especially Burnley, Norwich and Sunderland,

01:49they are six-pointers as far as West Brom will be concerned.

01:52I know it's still early days in the season, in the grand scheme of things,

01:55and a lot can change later on in the campaign.

01:58But these are the kind of matches that you might look back at come April or May,

02:02thinking, oh, we should have picked up all three points there.

02:04Or, oh, really, did we let that one go? Should we have lost that?

02:07So try and stay focused as much as possible. Try and ignore the outside noise.

02:11Probably are so ourselves included in that. And just try and focus on hitting the back of the net.

02:17Seems like an obvious thing to say, but that has been their main struggle.

02:20Defensively, not too bad at all. They just need to get a bit more creative

02:24and hopefully the points will start picking up again.
