00:00According to a survey published earlier this year it was revealed that 6.2
00:04million patients who try to get an NHS dentist appointment in the last two
00:07years were unable to do so. In May this year it was reported that the NHS
00:12waiting list for dental care grew to above 7.6 million. Back in January it was
00:17revealed that people in Bridlington would have to wait on a waiting list for
00:21around eight to nine years for an NHS dentist appointment. In a joint attempt
00:25to try and bring down waiting lists last month it was revealed that patients from
00:30Wales could receive NHS treatment in England and vice versa under the UK and
00:35Welsh governments. Welsh Secretary Jo Stevens said that it is only the first
00:40step in a new partnership between UK and Welsh Labour governments that will help
00:44deliver better care for patients and drive down waiting lists. Amanda Pritchard
00:49NHS chief executive said COVID-19 has significantly impacted dental care. If
00:54you're suffering from dental pain and are struggling to make an appointment
