00:00Almost 100 women from Outback South Australia all frocked up.
00:06They live hundreds of kilometres apart, but face similar challenges.
00:10Typically the thing that connects us all is the isolation in rural and remote areas.
00:14So whether you've lived there for a long time or a short amount of time, it's that lack
00:19of connection that we face day to day that brings us all together.
00:23The Outback Ladies' Muster combines highly valued face-to-face contact with guest speakers
00:28and creative personal development sessions.
00:31Some that focus more on the practicalities of running a business and life, and some that's
00:34a bit more on the inspiring, hopeful connection side and community.
00:39With large parts of the state experiencing tough conditions, this gathering has created
00:43more than just friendship.
00:45These busy women work many jobs, from co-running agricultural enterprises to supervising the
00:50remote education of their children.
00:52But the Outback Ladies' Muster gives them an opportunity to come together to learn, build
00:56connections and solidarity and friendships.
00:59There's lots of messages about staying connected with people, especially through hard times.
01:04I think that's probably going to stick with me.
01:06A day of fun to help deal with the challenges of Outback life.
