Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt resigned from the Washington Post after he stormed off a livestreamed discussion on Friday amid a dispute with two of the newspaper’s liberal columnists that he called “the most unfair election ad I’ve ever been a part of.”  Hewitt, a contributing columnist for the embattled Jeff Bezos-owned broadsheet, appeared on a discussion with Jonathan Capehart and Ruth Marcus previewing Tuesday’s election when the conversation turned to a lawsuit filed by the Trump campaign in Pennsylvania, where a judge agreed to a request to extend in-person voting in Bucks County.  The Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee successfully sought an extension of the deadline after several people who were on line for mail ballots were turned away after the 5 p.m. cutoff on Tuesday. 00:00Is it me or does it seem like this week Donald Trump is laying the groundwork

00:04for contesting the election by complaining that

00:08cheating was taking place in Pennsylvania by suing Bucks County for alleged irregularities.

00:14And this is on top of his continual assertion that if he loses, it's because of cheating.

00:20Yeah, that's what he's been laying the groundwork for this just not in the last week,

00:27but in the last umpty-ump months. No election can be fair in Donald Trump's mind unless Donald

00:35Trump wins it. And I think we are going to see him both rev up his supporters to contest elections

00:45outside of courtrooms and go to every courtroom he can in America where it's relevant to make

00:51whatever arguments he can, no matter how far-fetched. We saw that last time, but it didn't

00:58work out this time. That may not happen this time. And now I'll let you go, Hugh.

01:04Well, I've just got to say, we're news people, even though we're at the opinion section.

01:08It's got to be reported. Bucks County was reversed by the court and instructed to open up extra days

01:15because they violated the law and told people to go home. So that lawsuit was brought by the

01:20Republican National Committee, and it was successful. The Supreme Court ruled that

01:23Glenn Youngkin was successful. We are news people, even though we have opinions,

01:27and we have to report the whole story if we bring up part of the story. So yes,

01:32he's upset about Bucks County, but he was right, and he won in court. That's the story.
