Crisafulli stands by vow to axe state’s Truth Telling & Healing Inquiry

The Queensland Premier will unveil his new cabinet today, four days after being sworn into the top job.  The new premier has remained tight lipped about his ministry but has left the door open to potential changes to portfolios.  It comes after Mr Crisafulli stood by his promise to axe the state's Truth Telling and Healing Inquiry, despite some labelling the move a 'lost opportunity'.  The inquiry - which was launched earlier this year to examine the impacts of colonisation on First Nations people - has now paused its work plan. Mr Crisafulli says he will look at other measures to improve the lives of the Indigenous population.

00:31Torres Strait Islander people. We don't believe embarking on that process will be one that

00:36unites the community, but we do believe we can do so much more.
