The launch of Wigan's newest bus service

The first new bus service in Greater Manchester to be introduced by the Bee Network launched this week. The 615 takes passengers from Wigan town centre to Middlebrook Retail Park.

00:00So we're here at Wigan Bus Station. It's a very big day for the B Network. It's the

00:07first full day of service for the 615, the first brand new B Network bus route. We're

00:14going to be talking to passengers this morning who are going to be taking the bus from Stand

00:17U behind me over to Middlebrook Retail Park to see what the new service will do for them.

00:24It should be good because you can't get to it, you know, otherwise, unless you've got

00:29a car. It would be a fantastic business opportunity

00:32to link Wigan Town Centre with Middlebrook Retail Park and beyond.

00:47Alright, so we're on our way, we're on the 615, the first brand new B Network bus service.

00:52It's a miserable day, but we have picks of a good few passengers and we're about to pick

00:55up another one just now. I'm sure for the people who work at the Retail

00:59Park and they live in Wigan, this could definitely be a very attractive option for them.

01:04I love it, yeah. I don't drive, so it's perfect.

01:12So we just hopped off the 615 at Middlebrook Retail Park and bobbed over to Bolton Wanderers

01:17Stadium. So it's clear speaking to passengers this morning that bringing buses back on the

01:22local control with the B Network is an absolute winner.
