As the government proposes to ban disposable vapes by next June 2025, we asked people in Yorkshire for their reaction including this shopkeeper in Wakefield,

00:00I think it's a good thing. For the younger generation particularly, there's a big push

00:05for young children to be more health conscious and aware of what they're consuming. So it

00:13can only be a good thing really.

00:14How have you felt? I can imagine you've had lots of young people trying to buy vapes from

00:19you.

00:20Yeah, we have, yeah. We're quite conscious as to who we sell things to, especially with

00:26us being next to the school, so we've got to be careful with that. But yeah, it's a

00:33good thing going forward for the health of the kids.

00:37How do you think it will impact businesses?

00:39It will impact businesses because they are a big seller for a lot of businesses. So I

00:47think ultimately, in time, people will eventually switch back to tobacco and cigarettes.

00:53I think it's good.

00:56Why is that?

00:57Because people shouldn't smoke. Simple as that. I've had mouth cancer from smoking,

01:02so I totally agree with it all. And I've got kids at that age, so I'm not an own person.
