Wilder land is enriching the biodiversity in Netherlands by producing local herbal tea that benifit the insects, farmers and contributes to the growth of aconomy.

00:00In the Netherlands, we are the second largest exporter of agricultural products, but we

00:11are the lowest compared to all the other countries when it comes to biodiversity.

00:1530% of the insects and bees are left compared to 30 years ago, so a lot of insects are threatened

00:23with extinction.

00:24If we can create a business model or really integrate working together with nature within

00:29their daily practice, we can have a huge impact on biodiversity.

00:44With WilderLand, we make herbal tea that helps to restore Dutch biodiversity.

00:51We work together with farmers and ask them to sow more herbs and weeds on their land,

00:57which have a direct positive impact on biodiversity, because bees, butterflies and birds enjoy

01:02all these herbs and flowers.

01:08From part of these herbs, we make herbal tea, which we sell.

01:12We make a local herbal tea product, which has a direct positive impact on biodiversity.

01:18The more people drink our tea, the more farmers we can work with.

01:31We want to extend our product range so that we can integrate more species or plants like

01:40bushes or trees into farms' land and help farmers transition towards a more regenerative

01:47or nature-inclusive way of farming.

01:51With our business model, it's possible to regenerate the earth and nature by the larger

01:56we become.

01:57And that is really something we would like to show to other people and inspire them that

02:02business and nature go hand in hand.
