00:00I'm looking for a world where I don't have to play the role of Rera.

00:14All my life, I've been in showbiz.

00:17The ratings you give to the network are important.

00:21Not that it really is what matters,

00:24but I feel like I have nothing else to do.

00:28I've played all the characters,

00:30but I've never played myself.

00:32The real me.

00:34But I feel like,

00:36even though I've been an actress for a long time,

00:38I think it was time to focus on myself

00:41and see where I can take myself,

00:45and if I can do it, to just be me.

00:48And fashion was the only place where

00:52you don't have enemies,

00:54you don't have competition.

00:56It's not a beauty pageant,

00:58it's not a TV show.

01:00It's just you and the world

01:03and how you will express yourself.

01:05And it was very liberating for me

01:08to just be me.

01:09No one would say,

01:10this is what you should wear,

01:12this is how you should be.

01:14It's you.

01:15You have the time to do whatever you want.

01:18And that's why I said,

01:20I want to be in Fashion Week.

01:22I didn't dream of being a runway model.

01:25I know what I can do.

01:27I'm like a pitita.

01:29In fact, I thought that I wouldn't fit in

01:32because I didn't have a body of a model.

01:36But I remember, there's this girl,

01:38her name was Mira Duma,

01:39and she was only 5 feet.

01:41But when you say Mira Duma,

01:43all the street style photographers would go wild.

01:46She was the superstar of street style.

01:49And that was my dream,

01:51to become a street style superstar.

01:54Because that's the best part to be in.

01:57And there's no right or wrong.

02:00It's just you.

02:01That's why I said,

02:02I want to be in Fashion Week.

02:07A piece of Paris that I will never forget,

02:11and it's very symbolic to me,

02:13is this Cartier Panther Ring.

02:15I saved and bought it in 2015

02:19because it's actually designed like the Eiffel Tower.

02:23That was its inspiration.

02:24And the designer that came out with the panther

02:27was known to be a panther lady.

02:29She has a very strong personality.

02:32And I'm not that strong.

02:35I'm very soft.

02:37I would like to be a panther lady,

02:40but I'm a Labrador.

02:43I'm sweet like that.

02:44And my goal is to become tough.

02:46And eventually, as time went by,

02:48I became strong,

02:49and I really identified myself with the ring.

02:52And this is the time

02:53that I started Fashion Week.

02:55So it's a piece that's powerful to me.

02:58It's important in life

03:00to know the difference between passion and work.

03:04Sometimes, you don't have to love work.

03:07Sometimes, you hate it,

03:09but you have to do it

03:11because you have to earn money

03:13for yourself and your loved ones.

03:15But you don't have to forget

03:17the love for passion and what you want to do

03:20that will really bloom you as a person.

03:23Because it's hard to do what you want,

03:26but you don't let your soul and your passion get in the way.

03:30And sometimes, just sometimes,

03:33if you allow somebody to do

03:35what they love to do the most,

03:37magic will happen.

03:39And for me, that is by just being yourself.

03:43Being yourself doesn't mean you're perfect.

03:47It doesn't mean you're perfect

03:49because you want to do something

03:51because you have something you want to do in life.

03:54You'll do it because it's for yourself.

03:57And you'll see that it blooms.

03:59And when it blooms,

04:01sometimes, you'll be given the opportunity

04:03to have a job,

04:04a job that you really love.

04:06So that's what Fashion Week is to me.

04:08It's a celebration.

04:10It's a party for everybody.

04:12Everybody is welcome.

04:14Anybody who wants to celebrate their individuality,

04:17their authenticity,

04:18everybody is welcome.

04:20Basta ang importante,

04:21by being yourself,

04:23tall, petite,

04:24whatever you call it,

04:26you will have charm.

04:28And charm is what will make you win in the end.

04:31And your heart.

04:33I had a really rough time in my life.

04:35And I remember really working hard

04:37and telling myself that I can do it.

04:39So as you can see,

04:41magulung-magulo sya because that's me.

04:43I like to be surrounded by memories.

04:46So a lot of the stuff here,

04:48I hand-carried with me from the Philippines.

04:50Kala kong masaya kami.

04:53Kasi kahit yung pinakahuling...

04:57yung pinakahuling moment na nakasama ko sila,

05:00yun yung pagkakakilala ko sa kanila.

05:02There were certain people in my life

05:04that made sure na madumihan nila yung taong yun.
