00:09We will talk about the doubleheader in just a moment, but Kev, MVP odds are up.

00:16Luka Doncic enters this 2024-25 NBA campaign as the preseason favorite to win the Most

00:22Valuable Player Award, followed by OKC's Shea Gilgis Alexander, and then the guy that has

00:28won three MVPs in the last four years has that third-best number at Nikola Jokic.

00:34We see Giannis, we see Anthony Edwards rounding out the top five, we'll get to some other

00:39prices that you like in just a moment.

00:42But the top of the MVP odds, how do you think it all shakes out?

00:47Really the boring part of this is if Luka or SGA do not win MVP, that would be pretty

00:56surprising.

00:57I think they both have teams that are built for regular season success.

01:01I think they are both two of the five best players in the NBA.

01:05They have both been flirting with this award for a while, which is something that you typically

01:11need to see for someone to actually be able to win the award, is kind of have your name

01:16tossed in this race for a few seasons before you actually bring it home.

01:22I think for Jokic and SGA, they are the rightful favorites.

01:27A few times now, we've done the, ugh, Jokic can't win it again thing, and it just keeps

01:33winning the award.

01:34The issue I think for Jokic this season is Denver last year really exerted themselves

01:41to try and get a one seed, they ended up not getting.

01:43I wonder if this year, paired with playing Olympic basketball, that seems a little more

01:48cautious on Nikoli Jokic, and instead of missing three games, which is what I think

01:52he missed last season, he misses 13 games.

01:55And that again, opens things up then for the rest of the field.
