00:00Congratulations! What does it mean to get this Academy recognition tonight?
00:04It's a huge, huge honor. It's not something that I like... when the
00:10offer came in I wasn't... it's not something I'm expecting and honestly was
00:14somewhat reticent because I didn't understand the context of it and then
00:17when it was about somebody kind of at the infancy of their careers and kind of
00:21trying to establish what the career means to them and what they hoped it
00:25made more sense and I'm just really proud to get to express what this job
00:31and this industry means to me.
00:32Gladiator's kind of out in the world now as of last night?
00:35It's starting to come out in the world. I didn't even know the kind of social
00:41reactions were going to be released yesterday, thankfully, but it's gone...
00:46I think it's gone down really well. Yeah, so onwards.
00:49What was it like shooting those scenes with Pedro?
00:52I mean Pedro's a king, like there's no... he's just such a warm energy, he's
00:56obviously such an incredibly talented man, but like he's a real... he's got a
01:02he's got a wonderful kind of paternal and he's a wonderful friend to
01:06have on set and he kind of keeps everybody even keels.
01:10We've heard a lot about these sets being built kind of very grandly. What was it like kind of stepping into that for the first time?
01:17The set in Morocco was kind of the big introduction to me into the scale of
01:22what we were expecting and then I think actually weirdly as the film was coming
01:26to a close I started to take it in again. I was like, oh this is probably
01:30something that I won't ever see again or to this scale, like it's not common anymore, yeah.
01:37And is Gladiator and Wicked going to be the next Barbenheimer?
01:40I don't want to jinx anything, like how amazing would that be for this industry,
01:44especially on a night like tonight, like I think that was such a massive moment
01:48for the industry last year and if we can replicate anything next year near that
01:52it would be huge, yeah it would be huge.
