Transcript
00:00First qualifying session of the season, Dan Camish's Nappa Racing UK Ford Focus suffered a fuel fire
00:06and halted the session as the marshals attended to the blaze and got through many a fire extinguisher
00:11Fuel was sprayed onto the windscreen seconds before the conflagration
00:15Here we go, let's see if there's a touch, I don't think there is, no, he just loses it on the brakes

00:21Yeah, very good save, yes
00:24Let's have a look in replay, does this tell us, well he's slowing to red gates
00:31Bits fly from other cars on the other
00:33It's Colin Turkington in the lead of the race, Ash Sutton is on his toes up on the inside of Aidan Moffat there
00:37And the field turns its way through, Rory Butcher is off the road, I'm afraid they're running out of road
00:42Coming through, so he's into McLaren, whoops, one of the Hyundai's off the road, that is Dan Lloyd
00:47Into McGrath and back out again
00:49Leads the way and this was all seemingly self-induced by Jake
00:53He got out onto that outside line which is just not as dry as the racing line
00:58It worked earlier in the race when the track was all wet, but now the track's dried on line
01:02Ash Sutton 9th and Dan Robotson 10th on that
01:05It was a good save, pretty much
01:08It was a good save, but it cost him position, didn't it, two positions
01:12Now let's have a look at the start of the race, because it all kicked off towards the back of the pack
01:16Have a look, one of the Astras is slow away, Michael Kreese I think it was
01:19And then Ash Hand gets involved and then off the road goes Kreese
01:23So the two teammates involve one another
01:25And then look, Bonnet up on one of the Infinities and the sister Infinities
01:29Chance to challenge on the inside, Hill covers that off as well though
01:33Albert Hill slides wide, he went in too quick and he spins
01:37That's gifted second place to Kamish, third to Butcher
01:40He was under attack from Dan Kamish
01:43And as they got up towards Druids, Jake covered off Kamish, yes
01:46But he braked so late on that slippery surface, he did his best to save it, but around it went
01:50He just went in a bit too quick
01:52It is Turkington second, and then for third, side by side
01:56Bobby Thompson on the inside, and that's all he could to running out of road
01:59And that is Jason Plato in the gravel already
02:01There's traditionally a lot of bunching, well he's still got Kamish on the inside
02:05So he will have to go to the outside of the track
02:07Look how unsighted he is, he does brake too late
02:10He was just a little bit unsighted, trying to roll it in there
02:14And there is George Campbell on the back of Tom Ingram now
02:17So they switch places, Butcher dives to the inside
02:20Clatters into the side of George Campbell, knocks him sideways
02:23There's a little bit of a tangle between Sutton and Turkington
02:27Then they get all together, Turkington touches the back of Rowbottom's car
02:32That pins Rowbottom into Kamish across the road
02:35Kamish goes across the road, and Ingram is heavily delayed as well at the same time
02:40And Ash Sutton that he did on Josh Cook in the first race
02:44Was that someone I saw flying off the road? It was, it's George Campbell
02:52Oh, he just got turned around, didn't he?
02:55Coming out of the middle part of the Cobb sequence
02:58Chilton was trying to get out the inside, this is on board with Gelli
03:01Chilton's on the left and just tags the back of the BMW
03:05Rear wheel drive, there's no way he can save it
03:08Also going off, yeah, he lost 10 places on that lap
03:11So there's the contact, Chilton gets into Gelli
03:14And Ricky Collard goes off in a voice
03:16Each of them needs to work together, this is the action
03:19Oh, Jake was up the inside but couldn't really stop the car
03:23Slid into the side of Ingram who had no option
03:25It's not been his weekend at all, and there was contact in this
03:29From Aaron Taylor-Smith that turns the Ford around at the chicane
03:32And Dan Kamish, if he can get going again, will be way, way down the order
03:36Tried to make a move
03:39Well, that's life inside the car, that's heart in the mouth stuff
03:43But he's close, oh, Jason Plato goes wide, wide, wide
03:47And look at all the grass fillet in the front of the car
03:49A pit stop beckons, doesn't it, again, all that action
03:52Now here's Steven Gelli versus Odi Jackson into the chicane
03:55Jackson on the outside, there's going to be contact here for sure
03:58Off they both bounce over differing kerbs

04:51Gets into the rear three-quarter
04:53And just continues to turn Morgan around

05:06And Will Powell, another rookie to the championship, is out of this race
