00:48trying to get up the inside of Mike Jordan, they're being very well behaved.

00:59It's a fast corner, that left-hander, isn't it?

01:03except straighten it up, try to turn in, bang, off he went,
01:06and as you say, did a big shortcut.

01:10who gets knocked sideways by Onslow Cole, was it?
01:14And then sideways, and everybody comes past him then.

01:19and there was a touch there, I guess, between Matt Neil and Mike Jordan,

01:28Matt Neil got sideways, Chilton ended up on the grass,
01:30and then Matt Neil was slow.
01:32The box, all of Tom Chilton trying to get alongside,
01:34and behind them is Darren Turner.

03:21Well, you can almost see that one coming to him.

03:24And he was in the right place to benefit from that contact
03:27as Giovinardi gets tap-wired.

03:36He's battling his way up into fourth place.
03:38Ooh, contact from John George with Tom Chilton.
03:41And Chilton's off, but he's recovered it.

03:45And now watch as Pinkley just taps the back of John George.

03:50It opens up quite nicely for Chilton as well.

04:45Here comes Richard Marsh looking up straight into the gravel.
04:49That car's now been removed.
04:51Just makes the tyre wall as well to add insult to injury.
04:55But that car's out of the way, so the yellow flags will be gone next time round.

06:15And it's Matt Neal who goes on the attack for second place.

06:27Adam Jones has a little tap there with Darren Turner.

06:31And that's Matt Neal in trouble.

06:36as they come out of Old Hall.
06:37Yeah, but Matt Neal picked up a puncture immediately,
06:39so he's going to be out of this race.
06:40Turner moves over straight away for Plato.
06:42And Turkington's gone as well.

06:47So the two of them out.
06:48We've lost two potential race winners
06:50in the first two corners.
06:51With Chilton behind coming into the first corner.
06:54He locks up a little bit.
06:55Chilton sniffs an opportunity.
06:57Dives out the side.
06:58But you're right, he did it all on his own.

07:01Took too much corner entry speed.
07:02Cross towards the inside
07:04and blocked off Shedden into the first corner.
07:06And it was Matt Neal that got too much wheel spin

07:13So Chilton has gone off after that great start that he made.
07:16And maybe in a bit of contact down through craters.
07:18It's often a place where you get a bit of doorbanging going on.
07:22And look, Jackson's lost the lead.

07:26Gordon Shedden was in front, I think.
07:28This is Chilton having a spin.

08:38Well, let's see what happened to Plato from the onboard.
08:41This was as he came up to Rich's.
08:43He goes to turn into the corner.

08:45There's the wallop.

08:50And they've all got to move out of the way.

08:53and going very slowly as well, which seems a little bit...

09:05Turning in towards Rich's.

09:10And Matt Allison tries to follow him through as well.
09:13Erkan loses it.
09:14Yeah, I don't think there was any contact there.
09:16I think Erkan just found himself slightly on them.
09:18So, Chilton will be desperate to try and keep those Seats behind him.
09:21Givinardi leads. Sheddin is second.
09:23But what's going to happen here in the battle for third place?
09:26Oh, he's pinched around!
09:28Plato and Chilton make contact.
09:30Chilton spins down.
09:32And Plato continues across the grass and rejoins.
09:35Well, that was clearly a case of three into one.
09:37Just doesn't go.
09:38And this was the battle between Martin Bell and Erkan.
09:40Yeah, Erkan cuts to the inside going around Rich's.
09:44And he gets cleanly inside, then moves slightly to the left,
09:47which he doesn't need to do, actually.
09:48He just needs to hold his line, and he would have blocked past.
09:51But Erkan was probably thinking he was further past Martin Bell than he was.
09:55And he is brave enough, but is he going to go for it all the way around the outside?
09:59Oh, there's contact!
10:00And he's up the inside!
10:01Oh, no! Contact with Givinardi!
10:03And Givinardi tries to get back. He is back on!

10:07Well, this is Neil going down the inside of...
10:10Oh, this is on board Givinardi out the back.
10:13He pulled that back into shape so fast.
10:16I mean, Matt Neil legitimately looking for the gap up the inside,
10:20the hole that Jackson was creating.
10:22There was a bit of contact there.
10:23Matt saw the chance, went inside.
10:25Givinardi, flat on the throttle,
10:27and miraculously just gets it straight without overcorrecting.
10:31Oh, look on the grass now.
10:33Onto the brakes, under the bridge, into the S's,
10:35and Jackson trying to go around the outside of Plato.
10:38And he's got the line!
10:40They make a bit of contact, Jackson,
10:42but here comes Givinardi!

10:46They're on the grass! Surely not!
10:48How are they going to get out of this?

10:51And look, up the inside comes Matt Neil to get past all of them.

11:11Poor Jackson gets fed out onto the outside.
11:14Here we are on board with Givinardi.

11:17It was a perfect opportunity.
11:18But Plato's moving across there.
11:20He ends up on the grass.
11:21They're side-by-side.
11:23On the throttle, on the throttle.
11:24Round to the right.
11:25And all of them are through on the inside.
11:27Goes Matt Neil through Paddock Hill Bend if he can.
11:30Turner will give him a squeeze.

11:34He runs to the back.

12:14You've got Tom Ferrier crashing into the back.
12:17Here we go. He comes across.
12:18Everybody does know which way he's going to go.
12:20He suddenly goes off to their right-hand side.
12:23Matt Neil tags him there.
12:27And now look at Ferrier coming up on the grass.
12:30He can't stop.
12:31And Jason Hughes into the back.
12:33I think it might have been Dave Bickney.
12:34He ran into the back of Matt Neil in the Alfa Romeo.
12:37Now you watch.
12:38He'll lose the rear tyres as soon as he gets on there.

12:41The car just goes round.
12:43Now which way is he going to go?
12:44Tom goes to the left, which is the right way.

13:19And we're on the final lap here.

13:26And he ends up in the gravel.

13:30And it's a good start from Plato.

14:06Tries to go through the middle.

14:09I mean, look at that V formation in front of him.
14:12Yeah, and he was slowing down, changing down the gears.
14:14You could hear it.
14:15But his steering's broken.

14:19I'm afraid Martin Bell got caught up in all that as well.
14:21For the second time today, he's been messed up.
14:24Oh, there's Plato.
14:26And Chilton off.
14:27Chilton hits the barrier.
14:29And it's, as you say, Jason Plato he tangled with.

15:37And just comes into the side of Jordan.
15:40And then how he saves this, I do not know.
15:44I mean, he's on the rallycross circuit.
15:45And that was some real rallycrossing there
15:47from Giovanardi.
15:48But I feel for Jordan because, look,
15:50as you said, I'm not sure that Giovanardi
15:52even was going for the lead.
15:53It was just he braked so impossibly late.
15:55And Turkington only just missed the back of Giovanardi.
15:58Also, Cole's got him.
15:59Jones will try and come back down the inside
16:01into gravel.
16:02Oh, no!
16:03And Plato's going to go through.
16:04No!
16:05Plato nearly got a hit.
16:06Turner got a hit.
16:07Plato, just by the skin of his teeth, got through.
16:11Still with six more races to go.
16:13This was the instant.

16:16And then he was resting on the back of Onslow Cole's car.
16:19And when it finally came down, it speared across the road.
16:22Turner up the inside, over the kerb,
16:25rides up on the back of Onslow Cole,
16:28and then collects Turner, who was trying to avoid it.
16:30And also not let Turner get too far away.

16:34Oh, Chilton up the inside of Onslow Cole.
16:36Chilton hits the tyres on the inside.
16:38And he spins.
16:39Oh, he's gone off.
16:40He spins.
16:41Well, no, he keeps going straight, actually.
16:43I thought he was going to be collected by Mike Jordan and Adam Jones.
16:45But somehow, they missed him.
16:47Well, Chilton was looking to get up the inside of Onslow Cole.
16:50And there's a pile of tyres.

16:53Chilton locks up a little bit, goes on the inside,
16:55clips the tyres, flips him up onto two wheels,
16:58gets a wheel on the dirt.
16:59That's what you've got to do.
17:00But he was a little slow there.
17:01And this is a chance for Tom Onslow Cole.
17:03Onslow Cole's going to try.
17:04Oh, this is disaster for Giovanardi.
17:07And Plato will get past him.
17:09And Giovanardi recovers on the tyre.
17:12It could not be a problem at all.

17:18Getting back in the thick of touring car action.

17:22That's Adam Jones and Owen Murray.

17:31That was a hefty swipe as they head up round the left-hander

17:41Plato takes the lead.
17:43They're both across the grass.
17:44Matt Neil's trying to rejoin.

17:48Plato comes up the inside, rattles into the side.
17:52They both run wide.
17:54Giovanardi elects to go across the grass early.
17:56And Plato thinks, well, I'll follow you.
17:59And they come out in status quo.

18:10And now they just took to the grass, took the shortcut.
