00:00Okay, so the title of my doctor, Dr. Farzafah, was also realized because of cancer.
00:09At the same time I was diagnosed with cancer, that year I was actually determined
00:15because I had already started my PhD in 2017.
00:19So in 2023, six years have passed.
00:22At that time, I couldn't say no, either I quit or I just finish it.
00:29So I chose to finish it.
00:31So I was determined, I did my planning, I set my goals, I met my supervisor,
00:37I said in 2023, Prof, I have to graduate because I'm tired of doing my thesis,
00:45I'm tired and I just want to be free, okay?
00:48The moment I made that decision, not long after that, I was diagnosed with cancer.
00:53So I had to withhold my PhD, my submission.
01:00And when I finished my surgery, I decided to reduce my job activities.
01:11Because I'm a freelance, corporate trainer, also coach.
01:15So I am consciously, because I want to focus on my health,
01:19so I try not to take any big projects that may take a lot of time for my recovery.
01:27So when we finished the surgery, the doctor gave me time to recover from the surgery.
01:32So I had a lot of time at home.
01:34What should I do?
01:36I can't just sit and wait, I have to heal too.
01:40So the mind will always, when it has a lot of time, it will start to be negative, right?
01:48So then I said, okay, this is it.
01:50I have time.
01:51Indeed, Allah wants to give.
01:52Because after the surgery, I had time because I was at home.
01:56I started to reopen my laptop, I reopened my thesis, I started writing.
02:01I wrote, wrote, wrote, I read again.
02:04So that distracted me from thinking about my health situation.
02:10In August, I was diagnosed in March.
02:12In August, I submitted my thesis for Viva.
02:16In November last year, I converted.
02:19Alhamdulillah.
02:20And I can say that if it wasn't for cancer, maybe I would still be in pain.
02:25I also had a perception before I was diagnosed that cancer is an elderly disease.
02:31And research has shown that cancer and critical illness attack more and more younger people.
02:44So we hear that the cancer is no longer 60, 70.
02:49Then it has become 40, 50.
02:52Now it has become 20 and 30.
02:55Why?
02:56I can't tell you why.
02:58Because I myself said earlier, I myself have no answer why I got cancer.
03:02It is very, very complex.
03:04So we need to remember that cancer or critical illness can attack anyone.
03:12Regardless of age, gender, and race.
03:21But what we can do is to take care of ourselves.
03:27Self-care.
03:28Aware.
03:29Because our body is very smart.
03:32If something is wrong in our body, don't see a doctor first.
03:37Because there is a hospital inside.
03:39There is an alarm that tells us something is not right.
03:43Something is not right that we need to see.
03:47But sometimes we just feel a little dizzy, a little headache.
03:51So we ignore it.
03:54Even though it is already a sign.
03:56It has already told us.
03:59So don't ignore it.
04:01So for me, we have to go inwards.
04:06Listen to our heart.
04:09Our intuition.
04:11Nowadays, it is too noisy that we forget to listen.
04:19What should we say?
04:20Am I tired today?
04:22Do you want to sleep?
04:23If you don't want to sleep, ask your friend to go out.
04:25But I'm tired.
04:26We need to acknowledge the signals that our body tells us.
