It has been a very productive congress and here Murdoch University in collaboration with
00:05
GRDC in the wheat initiative hosted the third international wheat congress.
00:10
This congress brought more than 930 people from 52 different countries and during this
00:16
last few days we have been discussing different issues about the wheat production, quality,
00:22
markets and now today is the last day and we are showing that hosted and wheat varieties
00:27
to all these our colleagues who are coming from the different countries that what is
00:31
our quality, what is our productivity, so we are very excited.
00:34
It's always very challenging to bring big congresses in Perth, even many times people
00:39
from the eastern states they do not come here and many people they were surprised, oh in
00:44
Perth you are able to bring 937 people, so this is very exciting, so we are very happy
00:49
that we brought big contingent of the wheat researchers and they are the brilliant minds
00:53
from all over the world.
00:54
And most of the people that have come are they breeders, are they researchers?
00:57
So we got that all kind of people, so basically majority of them I will say 80% researchers
01:02
which are coming from the different disciplines, pathologists, breeding, seed system, agronomist
01:08
etc.
01:09
But we got some policy makers and also that administrators, the good thing is in this
01:14
congress unlike many other congresses people only from North America or Australia you know
01:19
what we did we tried to be very inclusive brought the people from all different continents,
01:24
so we are having if you can see this participant people coming from different African countries,
01:27
Asian countries all these things, so we really got that big diverse group of the people who
01:33
are working on this aspect.
