Voter frustation could see swing towards minor parties

A separate North Queensland state, 'castle law', and more youth detention centres are some of the policies being put forward by the Australian Katter Party and One Nation.

00:55Further south, the coastal seat of Keppel is marginally held by Labor.

01:13you've got the state government working against you, it's very difficult to succeed.

01:27The LNP is expected to win more than the 47 seats it needs to form a majority government.

01:33But political analysts believe there will be a swing towards minor parties.

01:38The Catters are counting on it, hopeful to increase their number to five in the next

01:42parliament.

01:44The state's only current independent MP, Noosa's Sandy Bolton, says she'll work with whichever

01:51party wins government.

01:53I've seen a lot of discontent with the major parties, so I would hope that that discontent

01:59will actually translate into more votes going towards independents and minor parties.
