00:00It's a done deal. Stephen Andrew is the newest member of the Catter's Australian Party.
00:08It's the greatest move I think I could ever make, especially given the fact that we are
00:13all North Queensland centric, we do fight on the same issues.
00:16The member for Mooranny was previously with One Nation, but became an independent last
00:21month after being told he wouldn't be re-endorsed. It means the KAP has four seats in state parliament
00:29– Traeger, Hill, Hinchinbrook and now Mooranny.
00:33We now have double the size of the Queensland Greens that are often talked about as so influential
00:38in Queensland.
00:39The KAP plans to run 10 candidates in next month's state election. The Premier was full
00:45of praise for the minor party.
00:47The Catters do a good job of representing regional Queensland and I'm not surprised
00:51to see them continue to expand their ranks.
00:55But state leader Robbie Catter wasn't returning the love.
00:58We're very dissatisfied with Labor. We know we want to see the back end of this government.
01:04Queensland's 93 MPs will tomorrow gather here at Parliament House for the final sitting
01:10week before the October poll.
01:13The Labor government wants to pass seven pieces of legislation, then expect the campaigning
01:19to ratchet up even further.
01:21There is so much on the line in this election. There's everything to play for.
