Kanye West Is 'Upper-Class Homeless' Amid Fresh Start in Tokyo, Says Touré

Kanye West is looking for a fresh start in Tokyo, despite refusing to put down real roots in Japan's capital city ... music journalist Touré claims.

00:11It is a little tricky to understand where actually he is, but friends tell me he lives

00:17in Tokyo now.

00:18He's been there for maybe a year, maybe a year and a half.

00:23Nobody's actually clear on how long it has been, but he lives in Tokyo.

00:28He's able to have a sort of peace of mind and a peaceful day there.

00:33He doesn't have the paparazzi chasing him like in other places.

00:36For the most part, when he's in Tokyo, people leave him alone.

00:40They tend not to come up to him on the street like they would do in New York, in LA and

00:45other places.

00:46And he is living in a hotel.

00:47He's sort of high class homeless nowadays where he just lives in hotels for months at

00:53a time.

00:54There was time in the Chateau Marmont in Beverly Hills.

00:57There was a Florence, Italy period.

00:59There was a Dubai period.

01:00We're talking about two, three months, but now he's living in a Tokyo hotel and working

01:06on his next album in the hotel room itself.

01:14Bianca was there for a while, but then she was back in Australia for about three weeks.

01:20We most recently have seen her there, but is there anyone else there with him and anyone

01:24working with him on the album?

01:27There's an engineer working with him, but it's not the normal.

01:30Normally there's a team.

01:32Normally there's a group of producers who are helping with ideas and there's some writers

01:36who are helping with some lyrics.

01:38Not this time.

01:40I'm also told that the rumors of their divorce may be premature.

01:46You never know with any relationship, certainly with any sort of Kanye relationship the way

01:50he can be.

01:52But from what I'm told, no, they're doing fine.

01:55They're still together.

01:56Their body language is still very positive, so I would expect, from what I know, to hear

02:01that they are going to continue to be together for the foreseeable future.
