I'm Jacqueline Beams, I'm Jack Beams' mum, who unfortunately passed from dope bone cancer
00:20
in February this year, and he's one of his very good friends, Georgia, who's been here
00:26
with us every step of the way, along the way the last two years or so.
00:29
Excellent, and in regards to the sale, so everybody's wearing blue, is there a significance
00:33
to it?
00:34
Yeah, so Jack's favourite colour was blue, his lovely blue car is parked in the car park,
00:38
and we just thought it'd make a nice change from red, and we could all come together and
00:41
celebrate Jack, and also raise lots of money for bone cancer research, and Macmillan, who
00:46
also supported us for the last few years.
00:49
Excellent, and how much have you raised so far?
00:52
We've got a running total, we're not sure how much our running total is, but we'll be
00:56
sure to let you know.
00:57
Georgia recently did a skydive as well, which your colleague reported on as well, which
01:02
raised about £1400.
01:03
Oh, excellent.
01:04
For those of you in age cuts.
01:07
And so, what does it mean to you?
01:09
How do you feel, seeing this outcome, the heart shape?
01:12
Newtown and all the family at Newtown have been very supportive for the last few years
01:15
as well.
01:16
Jack was very poorly and I was off work for a long time, and to know that they're all
01:20
still thinking about us and thinking about Jack means an awful lot, and they've been
01:23
really, really supportive, and I couldn't have asked for anything more.
01:25
Especially raising awareness for cancer and how it does affect people like Helen, and
01:31
like Helen's family.
02:20
Finally, how did you feel when you saw the heart formation?
02:41
Yeah, I did nearly lose it a little bit, but I got strong like Jack and dug the heels
02:47
in and yeah, it was good.
02:48
It was very emotional.
02:49
It was very special.
