00:00President Biden urged Congress to return from recess to address disaster relief funding in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton.
00:08I think the Congress should be coming back and moving on the emergency needs immediately.
00:13They're going to have to come back after the election as well.
00:16This is going to be a long haul for total rebuilding.
00:20It's going to take several billion dollars. It's not going to be a matter of just a little bit.
00:24What we're providing now to make sure people have the emergency relief they need,
00:28the dollar is just to be able to get a prescription filled, to get a baby formula done.
00:32Hurricane Milton wreaked havoc across Florida, spawning tornadoes, killing at least 10 people, and leaving millions without power.
00:40The storm has since moved to the Atlantic, but the feared catastrophic surge of seawater did not materialize.
00:46Congress is not scheduled to return until after the November 5th election.
