00:08not going to trade him and that he's a raider and he's going to play when he's healthy?

00:11Are they dealing this guy or not?

00:13There's a lot of teams that need him.

00:15Yeah.

00:16And by the way, the trade deal is not until November 5th.

00:18Here's why.

00:19First of all, as I understand it, they don't have what they want in terms of getting compensation.

00:23So it's very easy to say that, hey, he's our guy.

00:26We want to keep him.

00:27I thought that was fascinating.

00:28You mentioned that it wasn't lost on a lot of people around the league, but the bottom

00:32line is they've wanted to move him.

00:35Other teams think so.

00:37And you know what's interesting?

00:38There are a lot of teams that need a wide receiver right now.

00:41Your Steelers are on the lookout, as I'm told, the Chiefs are, although there's no way the

00:44Raiders would trade Devontae Adams to the Chiefs.

00:46But there are a lot of teams looking for receivers right now.

00:49It's interesting.

00:50It's usually not like that, but it is just hearing from other teams that that's the one

00:53position teams are looking at.

00:55And also edge rushers.

00:57If you have a good edge rusher, you don't trade them.

00:59It's rare.

01:00The thing with Washington last year when they traded Montez Sweat and Chase Young, that's

01:06rare when you have a sort of like a garage sale on edge rushers.

01:10It rarely happens.

01:11But yeah, that Raiders situation, and by the way, they play your Steelers this week.

01:17That's a fascinating situation with what's going on there because they had a crazy win

01:22at Baltimore.

01:23No one saw that coming, but they could not capitalize it.

01:26And oh, by the way, they have a quarterback change with O'Connell Starr.

01:28Do you think there's any chance the Steelers could cut a deal with them this weekend?

01:32No.

01:33I think, here's the thing, the Steelers are an old school team.

01:36I know for a fact that they have interest.

01:38They're at least half a dozen teams, I'm told, that have interest.

01:41But I don't see, here's Scott, Adams is making just under a million dollars a week.

01:48It's very hard to give up a second round pick.

01:52And I know Adams is still very good.

01:53He does turn 32 fairly soon.

01:57He's got massive amount of salary due in his final two years after the season, which have

02:02to be redone.

02:03No one's going to pay $35 million a season.

02:05That ain't happening.

02:06So they got to chop those years off or redo it.

02:09But you got to pay them right now over a million a week.

02:13That's guaranteed.

02:14And then you got to figure out a way to make it work under the salary cap.

02:19And then you've got to make the Raiders happy because the other thing is here, who's going

02:24to pay the salary?

02:25Are the Raiders going to pay part of it, none of it?

02:27Are the other teams going to pay it?

02:29But as one team told me, the longer this goes on, actually the more leverage they could

02:33have because some teams who are now around 500 will be better than they probably thought.

02:38And by the way, I know no one's talking about Washington.

02:41We know they're in on IU, but no one's talking about Adams for Washington.

02:45What about the trade down on the 7-1?

02:47How in the world do they not get help for Jane Daniels as quarterback?

02:50They absolutely would have to.
