00:10Ree Drummond's daughter Alex revealed a new detail about her pregnancy journey.
00:15In a video update that she shared with her social media followers on Thursday, Oct. 10,
00:21the Food Network star's oldest daughter provided insight into her pregnancy alter ego, while
00:27explaining that she and her husband, Mauricio Scott, were on their way to a big appointment
00:32with her doctor.
00:33She shared updates from their outing on Instagram Stories.
00:37While in the car en route to Alex's doctor's office, Mauricio could be heard identifying
00:41his wife as Big Bertha.
00:44Alex chuckled in response before repeating the name and adding,
00:47"'My pregnancy alter ego is Big Bertha.
00:50Every time I get out of bed in the morning, I'm like, ooh, Big Bertha, Alex, 27," explained.
00:57She then informed her Instagram followers that she and Mauricio would get to see our
01:01little girl after their ultrasound.
01:03She later shared a photo on Instagram Stories of the ultrasound image they received during
01:08their appointment.
01:09Once at the doctor's office, the couple filmed a new video clip during which Mauricio observed,
01:14"'Big Bertha's on the move.'"
01:16The comment caused his wife to pause as she considered whether she appreciated his use
01:20of the name.
01:21"'I feel like I can call myself Big Bertha, but I don't know if you can call me Big Bertha,'
01:26she told him.
01:28Alex and Mauricio announced that they were expecting their first child together back
01:31in June.
01:32They shortly thereafter shared a sweet gender reveal video on Instagram, which alerted fans
01:37that they were expecting a baby girl.
01:40In the months since, Alex has shared several updates with her social media followers about
01:45her pregnancy journey, including vulnerable admissions about some of the struggles she
01:50faced early on.
01:51Alex and Mauricio's baby, who is expected to arrive in early 2025, will be the Pioneer
01:57woman host's first grandchild.
