00:0080s glam rock legend admits some regret over pitching his band's 50th anniversary reunion.
00:06He doesn't want fans to be disappointed.
00:08D. Snyder admitted he can't believe he suggested a 50th anniversary tour with Twisted Sister.
00:13In November 2025, the glam rock legend spoke out on Steve and Rick's podcast and explained
00:19why he pitched the idea to hit the road with his former bandmates for the first time since 2016.
00:25Why am I doing a reunion with Twisted Sister?
00:29Snyder 70 said on the podcast,
00:31I'll say that it was my idea.
00:33The other guys in the band couldn't even believe I was making the call.
00:37And it had to do with, I had a little bit of a health scare.
00:40It was okay.
00:41But it was enough to make me say, wow, that was weird.
00:45I never had to think about those things before.
00:47And I'm 70 years old and I'm like, do I want to go out like that?
00:51Go silently?
00:52Or do I want to go kicking and screaming?
00:54Snyder revealed that he called founding guitarist J.J. French and guitarist Eddie Ojeda and asked them,
01:00what do you think about getting together?
01:02And they couldn't believe I was suggesting it because I told them,
01:05it's not happening.
01:07Will never happen.
01:08The singer continued.
01:09But emotional circumstances made me change my mind.
01:13Am I regretting it?
01:14It's a little bit right now.
01:15Sorry to say.
01:15During the interview, Snyder said that while his voice is still powerful,
01:20he has lost some of his top notes.
01:23He also admitted that long shows are a lot to carry.
01:26I'm great for four songs, he said.
01:28But 90 minutes, 75 minutes, 60 minutes.
01:32That's a lot.
01:34But yeah, it's a lot to carry.
01:36I'm going to start weekly rehearsing the set with a local band just to get going.
01:39I'm either brave or stupid, he added of the tour commitment.
01:42I never want to be that guy where people go, yeah, time's passed,
01:47and make people feel old just looking at me on stage.
01:50I feel a great weight to make sure I'm in shape,
01:52to make sure my voice is in shape,
01:54and start rehearsing those 3, 4, 5, 10 songs,
01:58to get there and not let people down.
02:01I don't want to do it.
