00:00Hart and Wilson share major health updates after abrupt tour cancellation.
00:05Chemo is no joke, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame indictee said, and Wilson had an exciting
00:12health update to share with her fans on Wednesday, Sept. 25, less than three months after revealing
00:20she had cancer.
00:21The lead singer of Hart announced in a voice message, shared on Instagram, that she is
00:27now done with chemotherapy and doing absolutely fine now.
00:31The rock singer said the treatment process was a lot, and that chemo itself is no joke.
00:37It takes a lot out of a person, she said, and then there's that two weeks of waiting
00:42around for test results, a form of mental torture.
00:46For anyone who's been through that, I empathise big time.
00:50Wilson, 74, announced in a July 2 statement shared on Instagram that she underwent an
00:57operation to remove something that, as it turns out, was cancerous.
01:02While she described the operation at the time as being successful, she noted that her medical
01:07team recommended she begin a round of preventative chemotherapy, advice she decided to heed.
01:14To assist with her treatment and recovery, Wilson said her doctors also urged her to
01:20put a pause on her band's tour schedule through the end of the year.
01:25As Hart announced in a separate statement shared on social media, the band decided to
01:30postpone its Royal Flush tour due to medical reasons, but said the shows would be rescheduled.
01:36Now that Wilson is in possession of the good kind of test results, she is officially ready
01:41to get ready for the tour in 2025.
01:44Earlier this week, Hart announced a new string of North America dates for its 2025 Royal
01:50Flush tour.
01:51As of Wednesday, the first scheduled show in the new year was slated to take place in
01:56Las Vegas, Nuff, on February 28th.
02:00When it comes to Wilson's health, there's maintenance going forward, but him told the
02:04side effects are much less severe, she said.
02:08Our story has a happy ending due in part to early detection, Wilson added.
02:13My advice, get checked regularly.
