DOJ Mulls Forcing Google Breakup To Dismantle Search Monopoly, Targets Chrome, Android For Structural Remedies

The U.S. Department of Justice is considering asking a federal judge to force Google to sell parts of its business to reduce its online search monopoly. In a court filing, prosecutors also suggested that Google's search data and AI technology could be opened to competitors.
