00:00In other news, Pakistani authorities are investigating a large explosion that occurred this October
00:046 outside Karachi airport killing two Chinese citizens and injuring others.
00:08The Chinese embassy in Pakistan reported that a convoy carrying Chinese workers from a power
00:13company was attacked near the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.
00:16As a result of the explosion, two Chinese citizens were killed, another was injured
00:21and the other seven victims belonged to the local population.
00:24An inspector general of police told the media that apparently an oil tanker explosion had
00:28taken place, adding that they are still investigating the incident and that it is too early to give
00:33a full assessment of the crime, in which police officers were also killed.
00:36According to first reports, a fire broke out in an oil tanker, involving several vehicles
00:47and causing collateral damage.
00:48We are trying to assess whether there is an element of terrorism, and we have not ruled
00:52it out.
