00:07a snatch theft incident in Kuala Lumpur early Monday morning.

00:11He said the incident happened at around 6.30 a.m., when a man on a motorcycle snatched

00:16the bag of a 78-year-old woman who was walking along Jalan Limo Manas in Bangsar.

00:22He said the victim was on her way to a nearby shop to buy a newspaper, which was her daily

00:27routine.

00:28He said the impact threw the victim to the ground, causing injuries to her head.

00:32He said the victim has been sent to the University of Malaya Medical Center for treatment.

00:37Bangsar Park Residents' Association President Nitesh Malani said the victim, who is a resident

00:43living in the area, remained in a critical condition.

00:47He said the incident struck at the heart of the peace of the community, and they hoped

00:51that the perpetrator will be held accountable.

00:53He urged those with information or CCTV footage of the suspect to get in touch with the Residents'

00:59Association and police.
