00:00We can see here in our latest satellite images the thick clouds that are affecting the southern portion of our country.

00:09This is the continuous effect of the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

00:13This is the accumulation of air from the northern and southern hemispheres.

00:17So, the ITCZ is currently circulating in a large part of Visayas and Mindanao.

00:23So, for the next 24 hours, we expect that there will be a high chance of clouds and heavy rains,

00:29floods and landslides in a large part of southern Luzon, Visayas and the northern portion of Mindanao.

00:36For Metro Manila and the rest of the country, we expect that the weather will be clear today.

00:40This will only be accompanied by isolated rain showers or localized thunderstorms.

00:45At the moment, we are not yet being monitored by the Low Pressure Area or PANAHON

00:50inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.

00:55For the location of our PANAHON today in Luzon,

01:00due to the effect of the ITCZ, we expect that there will be a high chance of rains today,

01:04cloudy conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in the area of Bicol Region.

01:09For Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon,

01:11this hot and humid weather will continue this morning until the afternoon.

01:16However, we also expect that there will be a chance of sudden and quick rains

01:20that will be followed by thunderstorms in the late afternoon to evening.

01:26Maximum temperature forecast for the area today is possible to reach 32 degrees Celsius,

01:3133 degrees in the part of Tuguegarao and 24 degrees Celsius in Baguio City.

01:37Maximum temperature forecast for Metro Manila today is possible to reach 33 degrees Celsius,

01:4232 degrees in the part of Legazpi and 32 degrees Celsius in the part of Takaytay.

01:49For the areas of Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao,

01:53due to the ITCZ, we expect that there will be a chance of rains today

01:59in the area of Palawan, Visayas and the western and northern portion of Mindanao

02:04in the regions of Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and Caraga.

02:09For these areas, we should be prepared for the possible chances of landslides

02:14especially if the rain that we will experience will continue.

02:17For the rest of Mindanao, this southern portion of Mindanao,

02:20despite the weather that we are expecting today,

02:23there are early morning thunderstorms that we have recorded in the area of Davao Region.

02:30We expect that for the remainder of the day,

02:34the weather will be clearer.

02:37It is possible that there will be sudden and rapid rains

02:40in the late afternoon to evening.

02:43Maximum temperature forecast for Calayan Islands and Puerto Princesa today

02:47is possible to reach 33 degrees Celsius,

02:5032 degrees in the areas of Iloilo and Cebu,

02:53and 31 degrees Celsius in the part of Tacloban.

02:57Maximum temperature forecast for Cagayan de Oro today

03:00is possible to reach 32 degrees Celsius,

03:0232 degrees in the part of Davao and 33 degrees Celsius in the area of Zamboanga.

03:08In the current situation of our ocean,

03:10there are no high-level gale warnings in any of our nearby islands.

03:14Our fellow fishermen should still be careful,

03:17especially here in the northern and central seaboards,

03:24in the seaboards of the northern and central zone

03:26because it is still possible for us to experience moderate to strong sea conditions.

03:30These are the conditions up to the sea level.

03:34This is our 3-day forecast for the next few days.

03:38Until tomorrow, we still expect high chances of heavy rains and thunderstorms.

03:43ITCZ has already brought it to the areas of Bicol Region and the whole of Visayas.

03:48But in the area of Mindanao, these thunderstorms will decrease,

03:51especially here in the area of northern Mindanao.

03:53We expect fair weather conditions in a large part of Mindanao,

03:57as well as in Metro Manila and the rest of the zone.

04:00The rains will decrease until Monday to Tuesday,

04:05October 7 to 8.

04:06ITCZ will still bring it to a large part of Visayas and Mindanao,

04:10but the rains will decrease.

04:12So we expect fair weather conditions in a large part of our country.

04:16However, it is still possible for heavy rains,

04:19with thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening, to occur.
