00:03DDG announced that the couple has split with an Instagram story post.

00:07After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate

00:13This decision was not easy, but we believe it's the best path forward for both of us.

00:18I cherish the time we've spent together and the love we've shared.

00:22Despite the split, DDG maintains that they will remain best friends and will work together

00:27as they navigate this co-parenting journey.

00:29They were swarmed with breakup rumors in April and allegedly unfollowed each other on Instagram

00:35and took down some of the photos they had together.

00:37In the same month, Halle opened up about the severe postpartum depression she was experiencing

00:42as a mother.

00:43So, honestly, I have severe, severe postpartum and I don't know if any new moms can relate,

00:56but it's to the point where it's really bad.

00:59It's hard for me to be separated from my baby for more than 30 minutes at a time before

01:04I start to kind of freak out.

01:07DDG and Halle are requesting fans' understanding and support as they figure out what's next.

01:13They welcome their son, Halo, in late 2023.
