00:00I like comedian Joe Lycett. He's from Birmingham isn't he? I think he does a
00:09lot for Birmingham and makes makes you proud to be from Birmingham and sheds
00:16light on a lot of issues that are happening in the world. I like, God I don't
00:22even think I know any more people from Birmingham. I don't think I know.
00:28Carl Chin I like because he features on local history and my grandmother's
00:35name was Chin so I don't think they're related but I do like Carl Chin and
00:40Peaky Blinders, I obviously like the Peaky Blinders, great series. Birmingham City
00:48Football Club are on the up which is a relief after many years of being in
00:53adultums. Things are looking good. From Birmingham, from Birmingham, gosh. I know
01:01some great people from Birmingham but I'm not sure they'd be regarded as
01:04iconic in the public eye. I'm just trying to think of, I mean I should know
01:08people from Birmingham shouldn't I? Because Birmingham was our second city.
01:12There are some hugely iconic people from here but, you know, I'm ashamed to say I
01:16can't put a name, I can't put a name on it right now.
01:20Unfortunately, many of Birmingham's denizens, like the man you just heard,
01:24offered a similar answer, not exactly knowing who the stars are from their
01:29very own city. But Birmingham has produced a wealth of talent over the
01:34years, from music legends like Ozzy Osbourne, the frontman of Black Sabbath
01:38and Juby 40, known for their reggae hits, to film stars such as the Oscar
01:43nominated Julie Walters and Felicity Jones. The city is home to TV favourites
01:49like Lenny Henry, a beloved comedian and actor, and sports icons like Trevor
01:54Francis, the first 1 million pound footballer in British history.
